My Picks For the Nominations

Republican Nomination

Although Donald Trump has led the field for the republican nomination, I believe he will slowly start to fall. I think his comments and brutal honesty will come back to haunt him in later debates ultimately crippling his campaign. I don't believe his supporters will support him through all of his honest comments and eventually enough will be enough and his campaign will fail.

My prediction is Ted Cruz coming out with the nomination with his vice president being Marco Rubio. These two bring great diversity to the nomination with both having hispanic roots. They boast strong conservative views that will win the republican nomination. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are on the rise in polls, but I would not be surprised if Marco is nominated rather than Ted.

Democratic Nomination

My current prediction for the Democratic nomination is Hillary Clinton, the current front runner in the race. Hillary has the backing of the majority of democrats and even the current president, I just can't see how Bernie Sanders can win the nomination with his age, and his socialism. Bernie does have the backing of most of americans young voters, but young voters don't tend to actually vote unless it is an online poll. Bernie's age is also a factor, considering he will be 75 come election day, this is very old age for a president. I believe Martin O'Malley will be her vice president Martin is the perfect candidate to be running mate to Hillary both share similar views.

  1. Good reasoning. It would be an interesting Cruz/Rubio ticket, but I would like to see what happens with Trump first.
